Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Chevy Impala 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have replaced the motor (heads) within the last six months along with the water pump, thermostat... my car is running ok it does'nt over heat but after probley like four or five hours of driving the low coolant light comes on and I have to put more coolant in but there is no leak from what I can see (under the car in the engine; no leak any where that is able to be seen by the naked eye) and once inawhile I have to bleed my lines because some how air is getting in or is something happening inside my engine to create steam?? Please help me I'm just at my ends with this car and I really love it!~ Any info anyone can give me would be greatly appreicated. God bless you all for you work.

Howdy! Is there any coolant in the oil? Well....it's got to be going somewhere. Here's what you do first. With a cooling system pressure tester, pressurize the cooling system up to 12-14 lbs pressure. With a flashlight, carefully look everywhere you can, you should also raise the vehicle to look at the underside. Let me know what you find out.

we had a pressure test done and they stated they everything was fine. My question ....well when starting the car and leting it warm up it sometimes will blow out hot air when it had a chance to heat up and then other times when it also had a chance to heat up (ten or so minutes) and it blows out cold air. But when driving and accelerating the car will blow out hot air but when stoped at a light or stop sign it automatical goes cold and thats when stoping for a few seconds. Like I previously stated I had a pressure test done and also a radiator flush along with replacing the water pump and we also replaced the head gaskets and intake about six or so months ago. Any possible tests or anything really we could do to try to identify the problem you could recommened would be wonderful and it would help so greatly. Every shop that I have brought it to has told me the same thing and that is...they aren't really sure!~
