2001 Chevy Impala My car thinks it is Night Rider

My car idles loudly in park and neutral. When i put it in drive, it takes off to 20 mph without me touching the gas pedal. This is not a constant issue, but occurs more often than not.

Hi there,

Get the idle speed checked and re set, check for a vacuum leak as well around the inlet manifold.
