After the car has been sitting for a time (sometimes just 10 minutes), the remote fob or door rocker switch will not work to unlock the doors (I haven't tried locking the doors with the fob or rocker switch after it's been sitting). There is no light flash or anything to indicate the car is receiving a signal. Howerver, both (fob and rocker switch) will start working again after the door is unlocked manually and the ignition has been turned to atleast the accesory position. If I test it immediatly after locking the car, it works fine. It seems to be time releated in some way. Sometimes will work ok after the car has been sitting up to about 30 minutes.

Hello,

It sounds like you might have an issue with the vehicle anti-theft module.
Interestingly this vehicle requires either 10 or 30 minutes when reprogramming the anti-theft unit.
This could be for the module being faulty or it could just need to be reprogrammed.

Try this procedure to reset the security system.
Exit the vehicle and unlock the car using the key fob.
Use to key on the door lock cylinder and turn right and left to lock and unlock.
Put the key in the ignition and start the engine.
Hold the panic button down to disable the alarm.
Push unlock button.

I have attached the procedures for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
