2001 Chevy Impala Key will not turn

I know I have got to change the lock and cylinder, but my key will not turn from lock to release the cylinder. How can I get it out to put the new one in?

you may have to take it to a lock smith so they can get it out. I have drilled them out in the past and was able to get them out but its hard to explain how to do that here with out seeing it
