GAS GAUGE DOESN'T WORK?

My gas gauge read full when i'm driving and then when I stop it read empty. I need to know how to fix it. I ran out of gas 4 times because I can't tell how much gas I have? I have a one year old and a wife that I don't want to see on the side of the road.

Sounds like you probably have a bad fuel level sensor in the fuel tank.

I agree with DENNYP, 9 times out of 10 it will be the fuel level sender hee is how to replace it, I would get a new fuel pump as well because it comes as part of the sender. Luckily the car has a trap door so change the pump and fuel level sender is easy.
