Engine Performance problem
2001 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Automatic 160000 miles

Can the catalytic converter be replaced with out replacing the whole exhaust sysrem? Our dealer said they would have to replace the entire exhaust system.

thats bull, they just want to make some money, go for a second opinion. like a regular repair shop. after all ,dealer are only in it to make as much money off of each individual as possible, including charging super high labor rates. I'm sure there is a way around replacing the whole system ,this is why, they have welding,
