2001 Chevy Impala air intake tube

Do you have any tips for replacing the long thin air intake hose/tube? I've tried to replace it once and snapped it. I lhad a hard time finding a new one and am not sure what the trick is? Do I have to remove my front bumper? thank you for any help! Dee

Im not sure what hose youare talking about, any chance of a pic? Is it the one from the air cleaner to the engine? Or from therear valve cover to the rubber hose from air cleaner to engine?
