My son's car is not shifting into gear. You can feel it shifting the gears the first time but it will not do any more; I don't know a thing about cars but I've heard people talking about the modulator, the transmission filter and slippage with the transmission. Can you give me a clue as to what the problem could be.

It sounds like it could have a damaged input clutch piston and seal in the transmission. You will need to have a line pressure test done on the transmission.
