I have a problem with my wipers, and wondering if its a simple fix or something ill have to take it for. Wiper on the drivers side slowly overextends every cycle. So it starts fine, then cycles and goes a half a inch higher and not going back down a half a inch less. eventually it will just hit the edge of the windshield goes off the side and get stuck in my mirror.

Additionally the passager side one runs fine till full speed then it will only go halfway up then fall all the way down with a loud thunk over and over. ....

The wiper arm retainer nuts are probably loose and not holding the arms in place.
