2000 Chevy Impala oil pressure light and bonging

I have a problem with oil pressue light and bonging whenever the sensor gets wet. how do I silence it without disconnecting it? Is there a way?

take a look at the wiring and see if the plastic coating is coming off the wire and exposing it to water or even touching the engine causing it to ground out
