when driving my impala between 46 and about 55 mph, the car will shimmy and although it will advance mph, it gains mileage very slow but once it is past 4th gear, it runs great. I was told the cylinoid was sticking and the transmission co. rebuilt it. Now the car is cont. to do it and according the the mechanic, there is no longer a code showing up on the computer. Do you have any idea what this could be? They changed the fuel filter, switched computer chips, changed plugs and wires, and cleaned the mass air flow.

Please help. Thanks

It could be a bad torque converter or warped valve body.
