Recently experienced mderatly sever shaking in my 2000 Impala when accelerating. Occurs at all speeds but goes away when speed levels off or I take my foot off the accelerator. Recent maintenance included changing front brake pads and having 2 new tires installed on the front and moving the old front tires to the rear. Any help appreciated.

Hi:
It sounds like an engine miss under a load. When was the last tune up? Also, is the check engine light on? You may want to take the car to a nationally recognized parts store and have them scan it for trouble codes. Most stores will do it for free, and it will point us in the right direction if there a code is found.

Let me know what you find.
