2000 Chevy Impala Impala ran out of gas

Engine Performance problem
2000 Chevy Impala 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

A week ago my Impala ran out of gas. Since then it does not sound right. It sounds rough like there is a hole in the muffler. Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
