Hi,

The fan in the cabin (A/C etc. fan) has 5 speed positions, but the fan only works on the fastest (5) setting. On settings 1-4, nothing happens. Until recently, it worked on all settings. I also don't think that on 5 it's blowing as hard as it should. I tried changing the cabin air filter, but that made no difference. The handbook that came with the vehicle is useless on this subject. What are the possible causes of the fan working at only one speed and what are fixes?

Thanks!

Steve,

I would start with the blower motor resister. It is a cheap part, and when they go bad, it will do what you described.
