After being driven very little in the past year, we were unable to get fuel into the gas tank. No obstuction could be seen. The small amount of fuel that was put in (about.60) could be seen at the top of the tank. We are certain that the car is low on fuel. We were told it could be spider webs. Is this possible? What other solutions could we look at.

There is a valve at the top of the tank to stop or slow down gas leakage. It may be stuck in the closed position. Youmight try putting a stiff wire in it totry to open it. Or there could be a foreign object jammed I n it.
