The passenger rear directional not functioning. Right blinker on the dash flashes rapidly. Have replaced the bulbs, And checked the rear light assembly, which worked when plugged into the driver's side.
After reading about a short in the directional switch as a posibility, I plugged a new directional switch into the wiring harness under the dash and have the same problem.

Any suggestions about this would be greatly appreciated

Using a test lamp or volt meter test to see if there is power to the plug if so you need to test for ground please let me know the results and we can go further

I tested the rear right plug. Using a voltmeter at 200 ohms, the brown wire tested at.8, the dark green and light green wire tested at 0.0, the same results at the functioning drivers side rear plug. On testing all rear lights, neither the right brake light, directional nor flasher are working. The rear right tail light bulb does light. ( Same dual filament bulb.) The front right directional/flasher bulb flashes rapidly.

BTW this is a 1999 suburban, not the 96 Impala SS
