Hi, first time user here. I have a 1996 Impala SS which has been modified with a T56 6-speed manual. It threw code P0200 on me yesterday while driving around 30 mph and shifting from 4th to 3rd (very light driving, nothing seemed to trigger the reason for throwing the code).

The car immediately ran like it was trying to get out of quicksand -- very rough, had to hit the gas to make it do much of anything, and would backfire close to 3000 RPM -- I was too scared to attempt to rev any higher. It limped home and is now parked in the garage.

Any ideas what's going on? Thank you in advance!

Thanks for replying! I checked the fuses as instructed and #6 is blown, #5 and #9 look fine. What next? Thanks!

You say it still has same problem? Was code erased? If not do that and see if it resets

I replaced fuse #6 and so far it's OK, but I'm nervous -- these things rarely just blow for no reason. What wiring does that fuse tie to, that I can go explore and see if anything's got an intermitant short? Thank you so much!

1-4-6-7 injectors are powered by fuse #6. You could Ohm out and see if one is a little higher than the rest.
I would not be to concerned about a 13 yr old fuse blowing.

Hi again -- the replaced fuse blew again with no warning, and the same code is set again (P0200).

What/how should I proceed? Thanks in advance,
