edlebirock 600 cfm with intake manifold installed on a stock 307 motor, which has 32000 miles.
no issues at any time before.

Disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine and have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark-if not check the gap on the contact point/s, test the coil and power to the coil then report back your findings.

Thank you for responding to my question.
I have done what you suggested, I have a good
spark from the plug.
I thought I might have a bad ignition module inside of the HEI, but like I said I do get a spark.
Could the coil be defective? Is it inside of the distributor cap also? What else could be replaced inside of the HEI that could cause the car not to start?
Thank for your reponse in advance. I hope I could get it started before i'm forced to see a shop.

Choke plate could be not opening inspect and also the ignition static timing by puttting engine no.1 piston on its compression stroke and lining up the rotor and no.1 cap at the distributor and at the vibration damper/pulley at TDC.

Have helper crank engine over while you turn the distributor till it fires up-if not check engine compression
