Hi,
The front brake rotors are designed to just pull off. However, the brake caliper and caliper mount needs to be removed first. Once they are removed, the rotor can then be pulled off.
If you are having trouble removing it, chances are there is corrosion built up between the rotor and hub causing the problem. Since the rotor will be replaced, don't be afraid to use a hammer to remove it. However, I always recommend installing one wheel lug nut so if it comes loose too fast, it won't come off the car. Just install the lug nut onto the stud loosely so the rotor has room to move.
If you look below, I included the directions for the removal and replacement of the rotors. Keep in mind, this is the perfect time to replace brake pads and to clean and lubricate the caliper slide pins.
