2005 Chevy Express remove fan from water pump

I have the water pump/fan assembly out of the vehicle and am not sure how to hold pump/pulley still and remove the fan. Is it reverse thread? What is the best way to do this?

It is a right hand thread. You will need a special fan clutch removal tool kit that has a spanner type holding wrench. You can normally borrow them from your local autozone store.
