2002 Chevy Express engine doesn't idle

i replaced fuel filter, went to a shop for diagnosis on the computer and a clean slate. at times it will start and idle but lately have to press on the gas peddle and brake just to drive at low speeds . what should i be looking for?

Try cleaning out the idle air control valve and see what happens
