my van is hard to start when cold. will only start with short bursts from the starter,long cranking provides no result. a shot of starting fluid works.

cold as in cold temperature outside? cold as in first start in the morning?

cold as in any time vehicle has been off for about 4 hours?

I mean after the engine has been shut off for more than 3-4 hours. The air temp is always 60 to 70 degrees.
