Engine Performance problem
1997 Chevy Express V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

MY DAD HAS A FULL SIZE VAN AND IT STARTS HARD WARM AND COLD IT CRANKS FOR ALMOST 10 SECONDS AND WE DON'T KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH IT WE HAD A BRAND NEW ENGINE PUT IN AND WE HAD THE DISTRIBUTOR CAP CHANGE AND THE MACHANIC SAID SOMETHING ABOUT A MOISTURE BARRYER IN THE DIST CAP THAT HE REMOVED AND I WAS WONDER IT THAT MOSITURE SEAL REAL AND WHY DOES MY CAR START HARD.

check your fuel pressure an dchange the fuel filter if it hasn't been changed in a while. I'm assuming that the iginition system is ok. if it still starts hard then your injector lines under the top of the inlet manifold may be cracked.
