Try pulling the fuse out to let the system reset itself. Mine had the same problem, after I pulled the fuse it reset and I was able to eject the cd's and it has been working fine.

Pulling the fuse worked for me. While it was out I vacuumed out the cd slot, blew in compressed air, vacuumed again and when I put in a fuse IT ALL WORKS AGAIN.

The down side is that while I was trying to replace the fuse in its RH console cubby hole I dropped it (into a black hole?) And had to go buy fuses.

Pulling the fuse is usually only a temporary fix. However, if you got enough dirt out of it, it might be fixed.

Was it the Radio fuse that you pulled out?
Did you have to reprogram the Radio?
I just bought a 2006 Equinox & it has a CD STUCK in the CD slot!
Thanks

Hi

This post was from about 11 years ago so I don't expect they will respond. However, the issue that they are describing is when the radio is telling them there is an error and it can't eject because the radio is locked. Pulling the fuse will reset the radio and allow it to eject the disc as long as it is not a hard fault that resets immediately.

If your CD is just stuck because it was jammed in there or the CD slot is dirty then this will not work. The only way I know to get it out then is to remove the radio and take the cover off and push it out.

As for reprogramming the radio, it should not need this. Just pulling the fuse is removing the memory from it so you will need to reset the presets.

Let me know if there is any other info I can help with.
