Electrical problem
1978 Chevy El Camino V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

The original turn signal arm is still wired in, and the turn signals still work. They are just not attached. How do I remove the steering wheel, (got that), and then remove the steering lock and ignition to eithir repair or replace the arm to activate the turn signals, high beams and cruise?

this is a little involved as after you get the steering wheel off you need a tool that screws on the steering shaft to depress a plate . Then you need snap ring plier to remove the snap ring. Better for a pro to do it as he may have the stuff to do it and can do it faster without having to buy/rent the stuff to do it.
