I recently purchased a 1974 Vette that had sat for 25 years without being run. The ignition key was stuck when I purchased it. I have gotten it running and now would like to get the key out. The ignition will turn to start the car but will not turn back far enough to allow the key to be removed. It is a 4 speed manual, 350 with 65,000 miles.

Also, the 4 speed will not go into reverse.

Any ideas for either issue?

No reverse is probably a shifter bushing gone bad, look on shift arms on side of trans. To get the tumbler out the steering wheel has to come off, on those Vettes with the telescoping wheel it can be a pain, might want to have a shop with the right tools do that for you.
