I have a 1989 Chevrolette Corvette T- top with a 350 engine 67,000 miles. No codes received from computer but the engine has an audible miss and sometimes stalls.
There are no codes and no check engine lite. Water pump is not in the same area as the distributor so can't be that!

Best guess. I belive in that year the distribtor. Is under the water pump. If the water pump leaks. It will screw up the distribtor. And will have to be rebuilt. Pain in the ass. Bad design. An costly. Or make sure that you have a good Mass Air Flow Sensor. Which a part of the air induction system located on air filter section to the engine. Around piece of plastic that is easly removed and installed. Should be on top or around the top of the radiator.
