my car has a auto down window when u get out of the car ,so the window comes down from the window seal,,,when the door botton is pushed the window doesnt come down now,,,,do u know why or know what i ned to replace,,,,thanks scot

if the window does not move at all, try holding the button down while slamming the door shut, this is usually enough to jar a stuck window motor into working again. if this does work you will need to replace the window motor. if not you will have to remove the door panel and access the motor and test for power and ground at the motor.

the window ges up an down ok,,,,,the window needs to come down auto about 3/8 in so the door will open,,,,,the auto down mode is not workin,,,,,is it the switch or what

ok. well unfortunately there are alot of things involved with that. a scan tool can look at the body control module and see all the inputs and outputs and find the problem a lot faster then we can replace parts and hope were right. it uses several inputs from the ignition switch to the door latch switch etc.

yes. they have a scanner called a tech 2 that only the dealer has.
