Engine coolant temp has been elavating to above 190 degrees which causes the car to shift from 1st to 4th thus eliminating 2nd and third. Also, my wife noticed moisture dripping on her feet on passenger side.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

When the engine is cold check the coolant level at the surge tank.

It will probably be low and the leak may be coming from your heater core that provides heat to your vents. It always has coolant running through it even if you're not using the heat.

A coolant system pressure test when the fluid is full could show the leak at the floor a little better. AutoZone loans this tool but may not have the adapter for your cooling system and you may have to take it in for an inspection.

Good luck,
