1999 Chevy Corvette Cruse Controll

Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My cruse controll come off when I hit a bump in the road. I also need to lift the brake peddle before I can set the curse. The sensor needs to be adjusted.
Is it located on the brake peddle like in older cars?
I tried to look, but the space is so small and covered with a panel that I can not see anything.
Could it be located under the hood.
I would like to make the adjustment myself if possible.
