Transmission problem
1997 Chevy Corvette V8 Wheel Drive Type unknown Manual 101000 miles

Car will not shift to 6th, makes a growling sound very loud when you take the clutch out to change gears,
someone said it is the synchronization.
Please help.

definite internal transmission problems. along with synchronizing gears you probably have some bad bearings from the sounds of it.
