At the end of last season my 97 Corvette with 60K miles was giving off terrible fumes inside the car (eye watering) after a while it would go away, but then come back again. Also at high speeds it would buck when trying to accelrate, but if I crused it seemed to be ok. It does smoke, but I don't know the color.

Somebody told me valve seals, others say gas issue. Any comments?

The two issues that you are describing are both related to fuel delivery, it sounds like your vehicle is flooding.
