power seat switch which changes from right to left seat will not change no matter which positen switch is in always controls the drivers seat, changed switches but did not make any differance

If you're sure your switch works, then you need to verify that the switches wires have continuity and the connectors aren't corroded. (high resistance)

You do this by connecting the power lead of a test light to the connector that controls the drivers side seat and the ground lead to the connector on the drivers seat switch that runs to your selector. Then do the same to the passenger side.
