I am having a problem starting my 95 vet it turns over healthy will start for second or two w/ starting fliuid seeems to be fuel related. Don't hear fuel pump, removed rubber tank fill collar, seperated wire plug to test voltage going to fuel pump I get 12 volts on one terminal [purple wire] with key on or off, seems like I should get voltage at least on one more lead when key is on Don't want to pull out fuel pump until I'm sure it's bad Would like any other advice for testing pump. Appreciate it greatly

Test the pump like this, if the pump now runs try changing the relay. SYSTEM/COMPONENT TESTS -1995 Chevrolet Corvette Page 1 of 1 Fuel Pump Relay By-Pass Procedure 1.If fuel pump will not energize, relay may be by-passed to test fuel pump and related wiring. See Fig. 4 . Turn ignition off. Disconnect fuel pump relay connector. 2.Using a fused jumper wire, apply battery voltage to fuel pump test connector (located in engine compartment). For fuel pump test connector location, see COMPONENT LOCATIONS at end of this article. See Fig. 15 and Fig. 16 . 3.If fuel pump runs and relay tests okay, check for faulty connections at relay.
