I have a 1990 Corvette that I just bought, that has been setting for awhile. It ran great before the guy parked it for about a year. When we popped the hood there was a mouse nest under the fuel rails. When he first started it it ran great. Shortly after I left with it it slowly started to loose power. By the time I went 2 miles I could not accelerate at all. If you push the gas it completely dies. After 5 or 6 hours it ran good again, until I started to accelerate above average going up a hill then it lost all power. The car dosent throw the check engine or service engine light, I thought it might be the fuel pump so I checked the fuel pressure at the rails and it was 47# - 52#. It has been a few months and it runs ok some times until you start to accelerate then it dies. I have had it out on a 4 or 5 mile drive and it ran without a problem, but latley it seems to be worse most of the time. I noticed 2 fuel injectors had been changed so while it was running I went around and pulled the plug off 1 injector at a time to see if it made a difference. At an idle you could barely notice it on all 8 cylinders. I went back around and pulled the injector plugs off at 1700 rpm's and it ran better with 1 injector unplugged at a time. It ran best with the #2 cyl. Injector unplugged, it still had a miss but you gould go up to 5,500 rpm's. When you plug it back in it will die, with it unplugged you can get in it and drive it anywhere with a miss but before you could'nt get out of the driveway. My first guess would be the computer, but I dont want to start changing expensive parts on a guess. I dont believe it would throw a code on a scanner without a check or service engine light on, or would it? On the exhaust it is dual into 1 and back out to 2 after the converter. The left side is cooler and dosent have as much pressure, but I dont know if that would make a difference or not. With the #2 injector unplugged it did get warmer and feel like it had more pressure. Any thoughts or information would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time.

Oops, I hit send by mistake.
.
Each bank of injectors is fired at the same time.
So all 4 of them spray together.
And then the other 4 spray.

Do an ohm resistance reading on all of your injectors, and I bet you will find #2 way out of line.
