Just replaced the alternator...the battery voltage reads 14.3 when it's idling and then drops down to 13.4 when I'm driving...what should it should it read when driving?

Thanks!

Hi there,

This will depend on the condition of the batter and the state of charge. If the battery is in good condition & fully or near fully charged 13.5 V is ok.
