The hood release cable on my corvette will not release my hood. When I pull back on the control, it will not release. I took a pair of pliers and got a hold of the cable and pulled it back and it released my hood. Is this because the cable has stretched? If so, how do I shorten the cable so that it will release? Thank you for your answer.

Hi there, you will have to get the bonnet lock adjusted and check the bonnet stop buffers, the cable will have to be replace if it is stretched.
