1982 Chevy Corvette Hood won't open

My Brother's 1982 Corvette Hood pops open on the drivers side but not the passenger side. We tried applying pressure on the passenger side while pulling the the hood lever under the dash, but it didn't work.

Any suggestions?

sounds like the latch is stuck, with it unlatched on the drivers side . on the passengers side tap it down with your hand, you might have to do it a few times, most of the time it will move the latch enough to get it to release. once you get it open lube the latch
