1978 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I recently bought a 78 chevy corvette with modified 350. Headl light doors will not acuate. Is it true that because of the high performance cam, there is not enough vacuum generated to operate head light doors? All vacuum lines appear to be in good shape and connected. What steps should I take to correct the problem?

I have a 1979 Vette with a modified 350 with a 268 cam pushing 400+ HP and do not have a prblem with the lower vacume (10-12) operating my headlight actuators, I would first check to see if you have vacume AT the actuator. If not, I would start with the manual vacume switch under the steerin wheel.
All the vacume must go thru there before going to the headligt actuator. GOOD LUCK!
