Got 77 corvette that has been sitting for a year have not started it yet but after checking all the fluids the trans fluid was grey metallic is that good or bad

Assuming it's an automatic grey metallic fluid is not good. It should be red. You may want to try changing the fluid and filter first, but I would suspect that you will need a complete rebuild.
