Electrical problem
1968 Chevy Corvette V8 Two Wheel Drive Manual

I installed a new battery, it went dead and car wouldn't start after a few uses. Took it back and they checked and replaced it with a "bad cell". Installed new battery, started great. A day or two later, the battery leaked a bunch of fluid (acid) and it was puddled under the car. The battery is completely dead. Do I have a battery issue, or how do I troubleshoot for another problem. The alternator is less than a year old.

Hi there,

I would be checking the alternator for overcharging, it sounds as if the battery has boiled, this is a sign of to high a charge rate, start here.
