your heater core is probabl leaking coolant. It probably has a funny smell in your car from it as well.

agree, a crack in the inlet or outlet pipe , happens alot, especially as the plastice becomes hard brittle and the engine torques up when accelerating . you may also associate the engine torqueing up and down to a motor mount that is starting to get bad, just a possibility.
