We are having a water and coolant leak back by the firewall. From a place where there might have been a hose, but we can not find a hose or see anyplace where it might have hooked up to from that spot. Any information? Is there normally a spot that has a hose there?

Hello,

Coolant leak by the firewall typically points to the heater core or the hoses to the heater core might be leaking.
Many times the heater hoses that goes to the core, comes loose or crack over time, causing the leak.

If you can upload a picture of the hose and the location, it will be helpful.

I have attached diagrams for your reference.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
