The transmission in my 1996 Corsica just gave out with no warning what so ever. It just will not perform in forward, reverse or any gear. I removed the base pan thinking that I may have a clogged filter or something of that nature. My filter seems to be just fine with very little dirt collected. Can someone tell me what has happened here?
I expect I will be looking for a used transmissin for this car. Can you tell me what other Chev cars with similiar transmissins will fit mine? (Year, make etc.)
Appreciate your help.

time for a rebuild. check with a recycler, they will know which transmissions will work as you didn't put down 3 or 4 speed trans.
