About a month ago the car was tuned up. The plugs were replaced and a couple of wires as well. The mechanic said one of the coils was going bad and he didn't want to replace it because it may cause one of the other coils to go bad. Since that time the car starts fine, but if I shut the engine off for any amount of time and attempt to restart it, it will not turn over. Depending on how I pump the accelerator, the engine will start. When I do have the car running and I rev the engine, the rpms drop and the engine acts like it is going to stall. Could a bad ignition coil be the culprit?
