If the headlites won't work, check the wiring connector at the headlamp switch, red wire is voltage, use a voltage tester, hot all the time. The yellow wires bottom right, goes hot/voltage when you turn on the headlamp switch. If that checks out, check the feed to and from the dimmer switch.
