Last weekend the passenger side window would not roll up. I took off the door panel and discovered that the is a metal barrier that must be removed in order to get to the inner works of the door. I am not sure what the motor looks like but I could see something that looked like it might be it through a small opening in the metal. I tapped on it lightly with the fat end of a scewdriver while working the switch. I got lucky and the window went up. I dared to test the window after doing this and it continued to work. I don't think I would count on it.
I read you artical on replacing a power window motor and your illistrations did not show any type of metal barrier behind the plastic insulation. The Corsica sure has one and it is riveted in place. What is the best solution for this? Do I just go for it and start drilling out the rivets or is there a better way?
