1994 Chevy Corsica low coolant

The low coolant lamp came on, I added coolant to the car to bring the levels to there proper level. The low coolant light did not go out, what else could be the problem or do i get the light out?

you could have a bad coolant level sensor. is the resevoir and the radiator both filled to full????

take out the sensor and see if its corroded and check it for proper function.
