1993 Chevy Corsica Engine problem

after driving for a while when I come to a stop the engine surges and then cuts off I can restart but when you put it in drive the car stalls again. After sitting for 10-15 minutes the car starts an drives fine.

come to the site here and look under how to tune up an engine. the first picture is of the throttle plate, clean that with choke cleaner on both sides and the IAC. See if that helps , and change fuel and air filters if they haven't in the past year.
