ABOUT ONE DAY AFTER A GASOLINE FILL-UP, MY CAR STARTED WITH A SLIGHT MISS. IT GOT PROGRESSIVELY WORSE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. THINKING I GOT WATER IN THE TANK, I ADDED A MOISTURE REMOVER. THIS DID NOTHING. I THEN ADDED PRESTONE FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER. THE ROUGHNESS IN THE ENGINE IMPROVED SOMEWHAT, BUT AT TIMES WAS JUST AS BAD. ON STARTING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SOMETIMES BLINKS, THEN GOES OUT. COULD THE PROBLEM BE THE FUEL FILTER? I DONT THINK IT IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.

Hello, how long since a tune-up? Plugs--plug wires--cap and rotor where applicable-- all filters.

Check for codes, your obd1 so you can check them yourself. Use a gage and check fuel pressure.
